Vivid Solutions is hiring. Established in 1996 we are one of Victoria's most respected IT application development and services firms. We are looking for a UX/UI Designer to join our team and work with some of the best in the business.
​
Roles and Responsibilities:
As a UX/UI Designer you will be taking concepts through a process to produce design artifacts for our application development teams. Your development process will include a research methodology, collaboration and production of defensible user interface designs and models.
​
Requirements:
-
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a web/mobile designer preferably in an Agile team environment
-
Post-secondary education in Graphic Design, Web Design or related field
-
Expertise in UX design software such as InVision, Sketch, Axure, Photoshop, Illustrator, InVision, UXPin and Balsamiq
-
Expertise in UI development software such as HTML5, CSS3, SASS and JavaScript
-
Experience creating specs for UI deliverables, including UI states and behaviors
-
Experience in iterative UX/UI design and development
-
Experience building low and high fidelity mock-ups for Web and Mobile applications
-
Experience with frameworks such as AngularJS and Node.JS

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Experience in rapid production of multiple visual UX/UI concepts for comparison and prototyping

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in team settings including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications while remaining open to feedback and constructive critiques

Demonstrated knowledge of responsive design principles, user interaction design and experience and possess a clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design

Expertise in capturing requirements and feedback through techniques such as usability tests, focus groups, interviews and co-design workshops

A passion for all things UX and other areas of design and innovation and a willingness to play a leadership role in mentoring teams in the UX process

Excellent documentation and communication skills with strong attention to detail

Knowledge of the software development lifecycle

Knowledge of Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines and Google’s Material Design Principles
