Vivid Solutions is hiring. Established in 1996 we are one of Victoria's most respected IT application development and services firms. We are looking for a Junior Project Manager to join our team and work with some of the best in the business.  If you are an aspiring project manager, this is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting a variety of projects in a busy environment. We are looking for a detail oriented individual with strong organization, communication and problem-solving skills who demonstrates good judgement and a commitment to excellent customer service.

Roles and Responsibilities:

As a Junior Project Manager, you will play an integral role on one or more of our project teams. Working alongside other Vivid Solutions professionals you will be leveraging, and further developing, your skills to support Senior Project Managers and development teams to deliver technology solutions that help people and organizations do what they do even better.


  • Support Senior resources with the planning and implementation of custom software development projects and lead projects where applicable

  • Contribute to the development and management of project plans, charters, work breakdown structures, schedules and change requests

  • Prepare and distribute status reports, dashboards, meeting agendas and minutes

  • Assist with project budget forecasting and tracking

  • Participate in the identification and prioritization of project risks, development of mitigation strategies and appropriate escalation

  • Track the progress and quality of work being performed and follow up on action items

  • Participate in the continuous improvement of process and deliverables

  • Seek alternative approaches and solutions to project challenges and needs

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Related education and experience in the fields of Business, Information Technology or Project Management

  • Ability to effectively communicate; both spoken and written

  • Self-starter with ability to work in team environment and meet deadlines

  • Problem solver keen to tackle a challenge

  • A strong understanding of Industry-Standard PM practices (PMBOK) and tools (MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities

  • A proven track record of project coordination and ability to handle multiple projects at once
