Vivid Solutions is hiring. Established in 1996 we are one of Victoria's most respected IT application development and services firms. We are looking for a Junior Full Stack Developer to join our team and work with some of the best in the business.

Roles and Responsibilities:

As a Junior Full Stack Developer, you will play an integral role on one or more of our project teams. Working alongside other Vivid Solutions professionals you will be leveraging your skills on back-end and front-end web development in the design and development of custom software applications.

​

Requirements:

• Working knowledge of REST and RESTful web services

• Working knowledge of object-oriented programming in Unix and Windows environments developing with JAVA, JavaScript and open source technologies

• Experience with frameworks such as React and Angular

• Experience with an RDBMS such as Oracle or PostgreSQL

• Experience utilizing bug tracking applications such as JIRA and version control such as GIT, Bitbucket or SVN

• Exposure to Agile, Scrum, Continuous Integration and Delivery, Test-Driven Development and Application Lifecycle Management

• Knowledge of Microservices Architecture

• Interest in developing spatially enabled, mapping and GIS applications would be an asset

• Ability to effectively communicate; both spoken and written

• Self-starter with ability to work in team environment and meet deadlines

• Problem solver keen to tackle a challenge

• Ability to write clean, maintainable and well documented code

• Knowledge of design patterns and best practices

• Understanding of systems development life cycle and enterprise developer tools
